Koblenz: Tour The City Where Two Rivers Meet

Koblenz is a city where the River Rhine is joined by River Moselle. It is famous due to its unique geography. From breathtaking architecture to captivating views of rivers, I found it all. You are never going to run out of options of places to see and things to do. If you are planning a trip to Koblenz any time soon then here are a few things that you can check out.

Deutsches Eck

Deutsches Eck or the German Corner is actually referred to headland which sticks out from Koblenz into the Mosel and Rhine rivers. From you will get a panoramic view of the rivers and it is a beautiful sight to behold. You will also find Monument to Emperor Wilhelm I. This is an impressive structure of the king that had been established in the year 1897.

Koblenz Cable Car

The cable car is one of the new things to be explored when you are in the city. I got to enjoy a plethora of views along the way. The adventure will start from the bank of River Rhine. The journey in the cable car is for 890 kilometers. The highest point of this cable car route is 112 meters. I clicked some great photos of the river below.

Forum Confluentes

This has been designed as the cultural and arts center. Situated at the center of the central square, this place nurtures several cultural attractions. It showcases the history of the city and some significant art collections. What I found to be most interesting in here is the Romanticum which takes you on a virtual cruise along the river Rhine. During this time, you are going to be introduced to the major castles of the region and people who used to live there.
